CLASSES

If you're interested in learning 'How To' and want to get hands-on with upholstery (and live in the San Francisco Bay Area), the City College of San Francisco (CCSF) provides excellent Introductory and Advanced Upholstery classes and workshops as part of its CCSF Extension Spring 2020 Workshops program.

I'll be teaching a 6-week class entitled: "Introduction to Upholstery: How to make a sprung ottoman" starting in January, 2020. Students will learn upholstery techniques, such as webbing and 8-way hand tied springs, and become familiar with upholstery tools, techniques & terminology. They will then use these skills to build an ottoman from a raw frame up, personalizing their project with their choice of upholstery fabric and the style and finish of furniture legs.

With these practical basics under their belts, it's a good grounding for more advanced classes. I hope you can join me there !
